Wireless mesh networking is the lifeblood of large-scale smart lighting, environmental HVAC control, and building automation systems. Without a self-healing mesh topology, point-to-point RF signals degrade across steel-reinforced concrete walls. In this architectural breakdown, we evaluate the three leading wireless mesh technologies: Zigbee 3.0, Z-Wave (800 Series), and Thread (Matter-native IPv6).
